Since I never formally introduced the newest addition of our family (on blogger), I'll take the time to do it now...
Everyone, meet Cocoa! Cocoa (or "Coco") is our 8 month old Chocolate Lab. We got her as a puppy when she was about 8 weeks old. Well, let me re-phrase that. Lucas (my husband) brought her home when she was about 8 weeks old. As a surprise. A big surprise. Oh, what a surprise.
She knows how to wave "Hi"! Isn't she smart?
Ok, so she's not really waving, she doesn't know how to wave, but she does know how to "say hi", by shaking hands, and that is what she's doing in the photo above, and I was lucky enough to catch it just right so that it kinda looks like she is waving hi. :)
Well hello there!
Cocoa is hard to photograph. One, because she is so dark, so exposing for her is really fun, and two, she is ALWAYS on the move. Always.
Dark colored dog+constant movement = High ISO, Large Aperture, Fast SS, and AI Servo Focus.
She is super well trained, and this is my favorite 'trick' of hers. I can put just about any item (be it food, a puppy treat, or a toy) in front of her nose and tell her to "leave it", and she will sit or lie there, just as below, waiting for my command to "ok, go ahead" so she can get her treat.
This must be her way of asking me "Can you please tell me to get it already?"
And what would a post be without a photo from my yellow/orange kitchen?
Cocoa, meet the blogging world!
